About us
Anne & Michel, your hosts
Behind Rêva Lodge Arue, there's the two of us — two stories meeting on this Tahitian land we love to share. The name itself comes from our daughter Mareva: we dropped the « Ma » (French for « my ») so « Rêva » could be yours too, for the length of a stay.
Anne
Retired nurse · Nira Tahiti Créations
A sewing and embroidery enthusiast, Anne designs and stitches every piece of her Nira Tahiti Créations line of clothing and accessories. Her careful eye also watches over the studio's comfort.
Michel
Handyman, cook, trilingual
An endlessly curious handyman, Michel speaks French, Chinese and Tahitian. With a bit of luck, he'll share his secret crêpe recipe — the best on the island, he claims.
Together, they have three children who now live between France, Canada and Tahiti. Like them, Anne and Michel have travelled widely — the United States, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, France, New Caledonia, Canada, England — but it's here, on their fenua (Tahitian for « their land »), that their hearts beat strongest. Together, they know every corner of Tahiti and will happily point you to the right spots, hidden trails and perfect timing. Just ask — they love it.
